«With TeraSlate we present today the result of the latest technological findings: An even better and more powerful solar system that fits ideally into building projects thanks to its timelessly elegant design and, thanks to outstanding quality, contributes to a better environmental balance and thus to the energy transition» says company founder and CEO Dr. Patrick Hofer-Noser with pride.

Technological progress thanks to the world’s largest solar cell

The technological advance of the TeraSlate solar module is based on the world’s largest solar cell G12 at present. The cell offers more power in the same area. By using more busbars, electrical conductors on the cell, the current per conductor is reduced, reducing internal losses. In addition, half cells are used, halving the current, which has a positive effect on internal losses. Thus, more effective power is available.

The TeraSlate system is suitable for all building envelopes, especially in alpine regions with increased requirements due to wind and snow. TeraSlate complies with the European fire protection standard EN 13501-5 and is classified as a hard roofing BROOF(t1). If the building has lightning protection, it can be attached to the water drainage channels as with MegaSlate.

Easy assembly and modern aesthetics

The TeraSlate modules are available in four different standard sizes and will be available from stock at market launch. The system is also flexible: TeraSlate is also available as a CREA roofing element and allows for customized adaptation to different roof sizes and shapes. With the new “L” size design, fewer modules are required per square meter for roofing, which shortens installation time and reduces overall system costs. The number of hooks has also been reduced in certain configurations, thus reducing installation effort and material costs here as well. All TeraSlate modules can still be installed by a single person.

The new design and the improved performance do not entail any visual losses: With its homogeneous surface and the barely visible vertical busbars, the frameless TeraSlate solar module meets the highest aesthetic requirements and also gives classic or rustic buildings an elegant and timeless overall impression. Thanks to the vertical design, the modules blend harmoniously into the visual flow direction of the building.
