The new wine cellar is located in the heart of the agglomeration of the city of Lugano, on the Moncucchetto hill. It is located on the site of a former colony house (now partly integrated into the new project). Source: Moncucchetto.

This year’s solar building excursion will take its participants to the canton of Ticino, from Cugnasco to Lugano, Chiasso, Vacallo and Mendrisio. The group will visit various practical examples and exchange ideas about solar architecture with the other guests and with professor Francesco Frontini of SUPSI, who’s also the head of the building system sector at ISAAC.

In addition to the guided tours of very interesting solar architecture applications, there will also be a stop at the Fattoria Moncucchetto, designed by architect Mario Botta.
