With the new SolarTalents 2025 format, students of architecture, civil engineering and related fields from across Switzerland are invited to present their visions for sustainable building with a strong focus on solar energy. The initiative aims to highlight young talent, bring new perspectives on the energy transition to light, and integrate fresh ideas into the prestigious Swiss Solar Prize.

Participants, either individually or in teams, are asked to create an A1 poster showcasing projects on themes such as sustainable construction, technological innovation in the building sector, solar architecture and energy efficiency. All eligible submissions will be displayed during the Swiss Solar Prize award ceremony, taking place on 31 October 2025 at the Hilton Geneva Hotel & Conference Centre. Visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite project, while an independent jury will also evaluate the works. The project with the highest combined score will be awarded live on stage in the afternoon.

The winners will receive the SolarTalent 2025 – Audience Award certificate, visibility through the official channels of the Swiss Solar Agency, a mention in the annual Solar Prize publication, and a monetary prize of up to CHF 2,000. For students, the competition represents a valuable opportunity to gain visibility in a professional setting, receive recognition for their innovative ideas, and connect with experts and potential employers.

Entries open in July 2025, with the submission deadline set for 21 October. Further details are available through the Swiss Solar Agency’s website.
