The “Egga” multi-generation house in Davos is the first residential building in the area with an integrated photovoltaic facade. The dark, high-efficiency solar modules are arranged horizontally across three levels, providing an enhanced solar yield even at low sun angles or snowy conditions. This innovative facade enables the house to meet its entire annual energy demand, emphasizing its energy self-sufficiency. Combined with a highly insulated timber construction, the building minimizes operational energy reqirements while demonstrating a harmonious integration of sustainability and modern design.
