The Municipality of Alès refurbished a church of the XI century heritage to create a touristic office. The realization of three bow-windows has allowed the enlargement of the functional surface of the office. In each one a PV system is integrated. A double insulating glass is mounted behind the solar system creating an air gap of 11 cm. The air of this internal buffer zone, heated from sun, pre-heats the office in winter and allow the natural ventilation during summer. The semi-transparent modules have a brown anti-reflective layer specifically chosen for architectural reasons and for a better integration within the historical context. The modules are installed mainly at 38° south east. Each bow window contains 70 modules that are connected to three inverters.
