SolarTalents invites students to present their ideas and design visions for the integration of solar energy into the built environment.
With SolarTalents 2026, the next generation of designers is invited to explore the role of solar energy as an integrated and meaningful component of the built environment.
The competition, organised by Solar Agentur Schweiz within the framework of the Swiss Solar Prize and developed in collaboration with SUPSI and solarchitecture.ch, is open to students of architecture, civil engineering and related disciplines enrolled at Swiss universities and universities of applied sciences.
Participants are asked to submit an A1-format poster presenting project visions in which photovoltaics are not treated as a purely technical add-on, but as an element contributing to spatial quality, environmental performance and architectural identity.
All selected projects will be exhibited during the Swiss Solar Prize Award Ceremony 2026, where both an expert jury and the public will vote for the SolarTalent 2026. The competition language is English. All details, conditions and submission requirements are outlined in the official regulations available in the “Discover more” section.
The competition offers students a valuable learning experience, providing a platform to develop and test design ideas, gain professional visibility and engage with current debates on solar integration in architecture.
