7th Symposium Solar Architecture
The Symposium Solar Architecture is organised by the Swiss Solar Energy Association Swissolar, the trade journal for architecture and construction TEC21, the Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects SIA and solarchitecture.ch.
This year, we can once again look forward to exciting new and renovation projects from renowned architectural firms. In addition to the design aspects of integrated solar installations, topics such as financing, approval procedures and sustainable construction methods will also be addressed. A particular highlight will be a tour of the former industrial site in Zwhatt, which is being transformed into a climate-neutral urban quarter with a variety of affordable housing options and commercial space.
The 24-storey H1 high-rise, designed by Boltshauser Architekten AG, is particularly outstanding. The horizontally cantilevered photovoltaic modules integrated into the striking red facade are particularly eye-catching and impressively demonstrate the combination of aesthetics and renewable energies.
