On 31 October 2025, Geneva will host the award ceremony for the Swiss Solar Prizes, now celebrating their 35th edition. The event, organised by the Swiss Solar Agency, which was recently taken over by Thomas Forrer and Madalena de Faria Bortnik, is being revamped this year thanks to the creative contribution of Nora Wilheim and Olivier Ächler, who have been called upon to rethink its format and overall experience.

The day will be an opportunity to celebrate projects and people who have made solar energy an integral part of Swiss building culture, with a particular focus on the actual impact on projects and the value of a shared approach.

The awards, given to exemplary buildings, installations, institutions and personalities, recognise the central role of solar energy in the energy transition and offer concrete ideas for innovation and inspiration.

At the same time, the SolarTalents 2025 initiative, dedicated to students and young professionals, will also be presented. An event not to be missed for anyone who believes in the transformative potential of solar architecture in Switzerland.
