It’s the first of five projects featured in the docu-film ‘Energy and design: building with integrated photovoltaics’, produced by SUPSI – Institute for Applied Sustainability in the Built Environment (ISAAC) – as part of the European Seamless-PV project.

This new residential building is the first building in Ticino to achieve the highest Swiss standard for sustainable construction (SNBS).
The cork facade wraps around the timber framed supporting structure. The idea behind the facade is to reconstitute a technological cortex with a motif reminiscent of the digital world of vertical barcodes interspersed with crystalline silicon photovoltaic mineral modules on the south and west facades.
