In linea con i compiti dell&#8217;Ufficio, questo edificio amministrativo a zero-energia mirava ad essere un faro per la costruzione efficiente e rispettosa delle risorse e un&#8217;ispirazione per altri progetti edilizi. Il fulcro del nuovo edificio \u00e8 il concetto energetico globale: un involucro altamente isolato termicamente, teleriscaldamento, utilizzo dell&#8217;acqua piovana, facciate fotovoltaiche su tutti i lati per generare elettricit\u00e0, ventilazione controllata con recupero di calore, uso ottimale della luce diurna e illuminazione efficiente.<\/p>\n<p>Inoltre, si \u00e8 prestata la massima attenzione all\u2019ecologia della costruzione attraverso l&#8217;uso di materiali naturali non inquinanti. L&#8217;uso di materiali prevalentemente regionali e di cemento riciclato ha ridotto significativamente l&#8217;energia grigia. Per integrare in modo ottimale l&#8217;edificio nel paesaggio urbano, un vetro speciale \u00e8 stato sviluppato appositamente per questo progetto, che mostra una vivacit\u00e0 tridimensionale e irregolare in grado di cambiare in funzione della luminosit\u00e0. I punti metallizzati integrati nel vetro scompongono il colore scuro di base delle celle fotovoltaiche e lo completano con tonalit\u00e0 pi\u00f9 calde. L&#8217;aspetto dell\u2019involucro cambia a seconda dell\u2019angolo di osservazione e della radiazione solare.
