Il nuovo edificio ha una superficie di circa due volte e mezzo la vecchia costruzione, ma consuma solo la met\u00e0 dell&#8217;energia.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;edificio residenziale \u00e8 stato progettato come una centrale solare. La costruzione prefabbricata in legno \u00e8 isolata in modo ottimale e, allo stesso tempo, le generose finestre utilizzano passivamente l&#8217;energia solare. Sia il tetto che le facciate sono completamente rivestiti con moduli fotovoltaici che producono pi\u00f9 elettricit\u00e0 di quanta ne consumino la casa e i suoi occupanti. L&#8217;obiettivo era quello di semplificare e ridurre i costi riducendo il numero di formati dimensionali diversi di moduli.<\/p>\n<p>I moduli della facciata sono disposti verticalmente secondo una griglia di 1 m. In verticale sono stati utilizzati quattro tipi di moduli diversi, che scaturiscono dalle altezze fra tetto, finestre e base dell&#8217;edificio. Nei parapetti dei balconi gli stessi moduli sono stati ruotati di 90\u00b0. Attraverso la combinazione di varie lunghezze \u00e8 possibile compensare i diversi volumi dei balconi.
