img_size=\u00a0\u00bbfull\u00a0\u00bb css=\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0\u00bb][vc_column_text css=\u00a0\u00bb.vc_custom_1729601930467{padding-top: 10px !important;padding-bottom: 10px !important;}\u00a0\u00bb]<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\">The winner: Solar Roof features a sculptural funicular roof integrated with flexible photovoltaic (PV) film, combining aesthetic design with renewable energy generation.<\/h3>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=\u00a0\u00bb.vc_custom_1730709426137{padding-top: 25px !important;}\u00a0\u00bb]Six months after its unveiling, the winners of the architectural competition \u201cSolar Design for Public\u201d organized by SUPSI and MC2.0 have been selected.<br \/>\nAim of the contest was to highlight the crucial interplay between solar energy and buildings in creating multifunctional solar architectures to redefine the use of solar energy as a building and design material.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For the contest \u201cSolar Design for Public Co-working Spaces\u201d, participants were asked to design a temporary co-working space in which a flexible and lightweight photovoltaic film is integrated into one or more technological systems such as shading systems, facades, roofs, street furnishing elements, etc. This space, accommodating approximately 10 workers, should encompass essential co-working amenities such as desks, chairs, electrical outlets, and a small outdoor workspace.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Our sunniest congratulations go to the three winning groups:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>1.<strong> First place: Studio Havenly<\/strong>, which are Tianhui Zhang* and Hayden Wu **.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*Tianhui Zhang is a licensed architect and researcher at Pelli Clarke &amp; Partners. She holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA degree from UC Berkeley. She has diverse work experience on the intersection of sustainability, technology and the architectural tectonics in the US, China and France. Her current interests include the application of AI in solar design and circular design.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>**Hayden Wu is a licensed architect in Illinois, currently working at Gensler Chicago, where she focuses on sustainable workplace design and adaptive reuse projects. She earned her master\u2019s in architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where she developed innovative design strategies for tackling environmental challenges. This passion for sustainability continues to drive her work, transforming spaces into efficient, eco-friendly environments.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>2. Second place: Design slayers, which are Sreeya Patakota, Guna Sree Vempadapu and Vineeth Kumar Reddy Chilla.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>3.
