C\u2019est ce que pensent Francesco Frontini et Pierluigi Bonomo de la SUPSI, la Haute \u00e9cole sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e du sud de la Suisse. Tout au long de leur interview, ils expliquent les avantages des fa\u00e7ades solaires et les facteurs \u00e0 prendre en compte.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lorsqu&rsquo;on parle d&rsquo;une \u00ab\u00a0maison \u00e9quip\u00e9e d&rsquo;une installation photovolta\u00efque\u00a0\u00bb, la plupart des gens pensent \u00e0 une installation sur le toit. Pourquoi faudrait-il aussi penser \u00e0 la fa\u00e7ade ?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Pierluigi Bonomo<\/strong> : La Suisse compte 1,8 million de b\u00e2timents r\u00e9sidentiels, qui repr\u00e9sentent environ 5 % de la surface b\u00e2tie. Il est important d&rsquo;utiliser ces b\u00e2timents pour la production d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie solaire. Il y a quelques ann\u00e9es encore, les installations photovolta\u00efques sur les toits \u00e9taient le plus souvent con\u00e7ues en fonction des besoins individuels, donc plut\u00f4t petites. Aujourd&rsquo;hui, ceux qui optent pour le photovolta\u00efque peuvent exploiter au maximum le potentiel solaire en utilisant \u00e0 cet effet toutes les surfaces appropri\u00e9es de l&rsquo;enveloppe du b\u00e2timent, y compris les fa\u00e7ades. En effet, les modules de fa\u00e7ade produisent de l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie m\u00eame lorsque le soleil est plus bas sur l&rsquo;horizon, notamment en hiver. Mais aussi en d&rsquo;autres saisons, lorsqu&rsquo;ils peuvent \u00e9quilibrer la courbe de production tout au long de la journ\u00e9e avec une production en d\u00e9but de matin\u00e9e ou en fin d&rsquo;apr\u00e8s-midi. Cette nouvelle tendance se r\u00e9pand non seulement en r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 la Strat\u00e9gie \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique 2050, mais aussi parce que l&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 devient de plus en plus importante, par exemple pour la mobilit\u00e9 \u00e9lectrique et les pompes \u00e0 chaleur. La technologie photovolta\u00efque actuelle est extr\u00eamement flexible et permet des solutions personnalis\u00e9es pour les fa\u00e7ades, les toits ou les installations telles que les carports, les balcons ou les terrasses &#8211; et donc aussi un langage architectural tr\u00e8s individuel.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pour quelles maisons une application de fa\u00e7ade photovolta\u00efque est-elle particuli\u00e8rement adapt\u00e9e ?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Francesco Frontini<\/strong>\u00a0: Cette technologie convient aussi bien aux nouveaux b\u00e2timents qu\u2019aux r\u00e9novations. Dans ce cas pr\u00e9cis, il faut d\u2019abord analyser l\u2019exposition au soleil. En principe, les quatre fa\u00e7ades peuvent \u00eatre utilis\u00e9es, y compris celle du nord. Toutefois, compte tenu de l\u2019\u00e9nergie grise contenue dans un module solaire, on peut se demander s\u2019il est vraiment judicieux d\u2019installer un tel module sur une surface moins expos\u00e9e. En effet, un module photovolta\u00efque transporte plus d\u2019\u00e9nergie grise qu\u2019un bardage en bois ou un simple cr\u00e9pi. Il est donc important d\u2019installer les modules photovolta\u00efques l\u00e0 o\u00f9 ils peuvent g\u00e9n\u00e9rer le plus grand rendement d\u2019\u00e9nergie solaire possible avec leurs performances techniques. Dans les zones moins ensoleill\u00e9es, des syst\u00e8mes de verre color\u00e9, visuellement tr\u00e8s proches des modules solaires, pourraient offrir un aspect g\u00e9n\u00e9ral harmonieux.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Existe-t-il une taille minimale en dessous de laquelle une installation photovolta\u00efque en fa\u00e7ade n\u2019aurait pas de sens ?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Frontini<\/strong>\u00a0: La plus petite installation que j\u2019ai vue \u00e9tait une installation de 1 kilowatt, pour laquelle un parapet est suffisant. Alors que sur un toit il est correct de consid\u00e9rer une surface d\u2019au moins 15 \u00e0 20 m\u00e8tres carr\u00e9s pour atteindre 3 \u00e0 5 kilowatts, sur une fa\u00e7ade l\u2019aspect architectural prime. Par cons\u00e9quent, pour une surface de 10 m\u00e8tres carr\u00e9s, je ne viserais pas la taille minimale mais la taille maximale afin d\u2019assurer une homog\u00e9n\u00e9it\u00e9 constructive et esth\u00e9tique maximale.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Comment peut-on int\u00e9grer une installation photovolta\u00efque dans la fa\u00e7ade sans que la maison ressemble \u00e0 une station spatiale ?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Frontini<\/strong>\u00a0: Le fait qu\u2019un \u00e9l\u00e9ment photovolta\u00efque soit une cellule carr\u00e9e classique bleue ou noire est un mythe. Des exemples actuels le d\u00e9montrent, entre autres sur notre propre site Internet solarchitecture.ch. Aujourd\u2019hui, un module photovolta\u00efque est un \u00e9l\u00e9ment de construction (g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement en verre) et est tr\u00e8s flexible en termes de personnalisation, de couleur, de forme et d\u2019effet de surface.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bonomo<\/strong>\u00a0: Ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, de nombreuses recherches ont \u00e9t\u00e9 men\u00e9es dans ce domaine, ce qui a conduit \u00e0 la disponibilit\u00e9 sur le march\u00e9 de verre avec diff\u00e9rents traitements de surface et couleurs. Les fa\u00e7ades photovolta\u00efques peuvent donc s\u2019adapter avec souplesse aux exigences esth\u00e9tiques de chacun, qu\u2019elles soient monochromes, du sombre au blanc, ou d\u00e9cor\u00e9es, rappelant l\u2019image de mat\u00e9riaux traditionnels, ou avec un sujet graphique ou photographique. Il est important, au cas par cas, de trouver le bon compromis entre l\u2019esth\u00e9tique et les performances de ces modules.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Une fa\u00e7ade photovolta\u00efque est-elle moins durable qu\u2019une fa\u00e7ade traditionnelle ?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Frontini<\/strong>\u00a0: Un module photovolta\u00efque est tr\u00e8s durable s\u2019il est bien con\u00e7u. Cependant, comme il est compos\u00e9 de 99 % de verre, il est conseill\u00e9 d\u2019utiliser les \u00e9tages sup\u00e9rieurs pour le photovolta\u00efque et de laisser la base libre, ce qui est habituel en architecture car elle est plus r\u00e9sistante aux impacts et \u00e0 la salet\u00e9. On peut aussi opter pour des modules photovolta\u00efques con\u00e7us pour supporter une charge plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e et certifi\u00e9s en cons\u00e9quence. Les modules solaires sont des produits de construction conventionnels et, \u00e0 ce titre, ils sont test\u00e9s pour leur r\u00e9sistance aux chocs, au vent, \u00e0 la neige et aux tremblements de terre.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Quelle est la dur\u00e9e de vie d\u2019une installation de fa\u00e7ade photovolta\u00efque ?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Frontini<\/strong>\u00a0: Un module solaire fournit de l\u2019\u00e9nergie pendant 25 \u00e0 30 ans, ce qui est garanti. Au terme de cette p\u00e9riode, il aura perdu au maximum 15 \u00e0 20 % de son rendement, et dans le m\u00eame temps, de nouveaux modules plus efficaces seront disponibles sur le march\u00e9. Il serait donc judicieux de choisir actuellement un syst\u00e8me d\u00e9montable et flexible. D\u2019une part, le module peut \u00eatre facilement remplac\u00e9 en cas de vandalisme, et d\u2019autre part, il peut \u00eatre remplac\u00e9 ult\u00e9rieurement par un module plus efficient. Toutefois, cela n\u2019est pas n\u00e9cessaire, car un module peut durer jusqu\u2019\u00e0 40 ou 50 ans si le verre ne se brise pas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bonomo<\/strong>\u00a0: La durabilit\u00e9 ne signifie pas que les produits doivent durer \u00e9ternellement, comme on le pensait pour les cath\u00e9drales. Si j\u2019utilise un \u00e9l\u00e9ment \u00ab\u00a0l\u00e9ger\u00a0\u00bb, qui a une faible \u00e9nergie grise et qui peut \u00eatre recycl\u00e9 ou r\u00e9utilis\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re circulaire \u00e0 la fin de sa dur\u00e9e de vie, le remplacement est durable m\u00eame avec une dur\u00e9e de vie plus courte si cet aspect est pris en compte dans le concept de durabilit\u00e9 environnementale\/\u00e9conomique de l\u2019ensemble du b\u00e2timent. En outre, le potentiel de recyclage d\u2019un module photovolta\u00efque en verre est bien connu.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Si quelqu\u2019un veut r\u00e9nover la fa\u00e7ade et aussi l\u2019isoler, comment peut-on int\u00e9grer une installation photovolta\u00efque ?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Frontini<\/strong>\u00a0: La mani\u00e8re la plus simple et la plus efficace est de construire une fa\u00e7ade ventil\u00e9e, o\u00f9 l\u2019isolation est fix\u00e9e au mur existant en plus d\u2019une structure \u00e0 laquelle sont fix\u00e9s les modules photovolta\u00efques. Si je veux utiliser mon toit comme un toit vert, je sais que je peux utiliser les fa\u00e7ades pour le photovolta\u00efque, et il ne s\u2019agira pas de dispositifs techniques mais d\u2019un langage architectural propre. Un autre conseil est de consid\u00e9rer la rentabilit\u00e9 non seulement au moment de l\u2019investissement mais sur l\u2019ensemble du cycle de vie de l\u2019installation photovolta\u00efque.
