Conform\u00e9ment aux missions de l\u2019Office, le b\u00e2timent administratif \u00e0 z\u00e9ro-\u00e9nergie visait \u00e0 devenir un phare pour la construction efficace et respectueuse des ressources et une source d&rsquo;inspiration pour d&rsquo;autres projets de construction. Le c\u0153ur du nouveau b\u00e2timent est le concept \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique global : une enveloppe hautement isol\u00e9e thermiquement, chauffage urbain, utilisation de l&rsquo;eau pluviale, fa\u00e7ades photovolta\u00efques sur toutes les c\u00f4t\u00e9s pour la production d&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9, ventilation contr\u00f4l\u00e9e avec r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration de chaleur, utilisation optimale de la lumi\u00e8re du jour et \u00e9clairage efficace. En outre, la plus grande attention a \u00e9t\u00e9 accord\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cologie de la construction gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l&rsquo;utilisation de mat\u00e9riaux naturels non polluants. L&rsquo;utilisation de mat\u00e9riaux essentiellement r\u00e9gionaux et de b\u00e9ton recycl\u00e9 a permis de r\u00e9duire consid\u00e9rablement l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie grise. Afin d&rsquo;int\u00e9grer de mani\u00e8re optimale le b\u00e2timent dans le paysage urbain, un verre sp\u00e9cial a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 sp\u00e9cialement pour ce projet, qui pr\u00e9sente une vivacit\u00e9 tridimensionnelle et irr\u00e9guli\u00e8re qui change en fonction de la lumi\u00e8re. Des points m\u00e9talliques int\u00e9gr\u00e9s au verre att\u00e9nuent \u00e9galement la couleur de base sombre des cellules photovolta\u00efques et la compl\u00e9mentent avec des nuances plus chaudes. L&rsquo;aspect de l\u2019enveloppe change en fonction du point de vue et de l&rsquo;incidence de la lumi\u00e8re.
