L&rsquo;inclinaison optimale qui permet de profiter au maximum du rayonnement est principalement une question de g\u00e9om\u00e9trie solaire: elle d\u00e9pend principalement de la latitude du lieu. Mais la conception solaire n&rsquo;est donc qu&rsquo;un probl\u00e8me g\u00e9om\u00e9trique? Pour cette raison, afin de maximiser l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie produite pendant l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e, l&rsquo;orientation du syst\u00e8me doit s&rsquo;aligner autant que possible vers le sud. Une orientation sud-ouest ou sud-est assure \u00e9galement un r\u00e9sultat remarquable avec des pertes qui ne d\u00e9passent pas le 10%. En outre, les panneaux orient\u00e9s vers l&rsquo;est augmentent la production d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie le matin, tandis que les panneaux orient\u00e9s vers l&rsquo;ouest font de m\u00eame en fin d&rsquo;apr\u00e8s-midi. En principe, il convient d&rsquo;\u00e9viter l&rsquo;orientation au nord des panneaux dans un but purement \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique. Cependant, l&rsquo;orientation nord-est\/ouest peut \u00e9galement contribuer \u00e0 la production d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie. Au cours de l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e, l&rsquo;azimut du soleil change: en hiver, les rayons du soleil ont un faible angle d&rsquo;incidence, il faut donc une plus grande inclinaison des panneaux pour capter le plus de lumi\u00e8re possible, alors qu&rsquo;en \u00e9t\u00e9, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un azimut plus \u00e9lev\u00e9, les performances des syst\u00e8mes solaires sont tr\u00e8s bonnes m\u00eame s&rsquo;ils sont positionn\u00e9s avec une faible inclinaison.<\/p>\n<p>Les panneaux solaires dispos\u00e9s verticalement produisent moins d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie aux latitudes de l&rsquo;Europe centrale. Pour les syst\u00e8mes BIPV install\u00e9s verticalement sur la fa\u00e7ade, l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 est d&rsquo;environ 70% lorsque la fa\u00e7ade est orient\u00e9e vers le sud, alors qu&rsquo;elle tombe \u00e0 50% lorsqu&rsquo;elle est orient\u00e9e vers l&rsquo;est ou l&rsquo;ouest.
