Organised by SUPSI and ARCHI, this event-conference brings together key-stakeholders from the industry for a panel discussion on the occasion of the release of the special issue of Archi 3/2024, „The State of Solar“, entirely dedicated to BIPV. The focus will be on issues concerning the potential of solar electricity, which is currently recognized as the most economical source of energy, and the challenges associated with its effective diffusion and implementation.
Participants will engage in the debate on the integration of BIPV (Building-Integrated Photovoltaics) in buildings, analyzing the most significant innovations in the sector and the points of contact in the collaboration between the various professionals involved in its production. Through contributions stemming from Swiss and international research experiences presented in ARCHI 3/2024, the event aims to answer crucial questions: Why is solar energy not yet sufficiently widespread? How can it be effectively implemented? What are the main innovations and challenges of BIPV integration?
These key issues will be explored through dynamic discussions that aim to promote innovative and practical solutions for the future of building-integrated solar energy.
The event is going to be held in cooperation with the Horizon Europe projects MASS-IPV and SEAMLESS-PV.
